I am a member of the Association for Women in Mathematics. I have a black belt in Karate and I have been playing the sitar for the past 15 years. I support this statement of inclusiveness. I like listening to music, playing my sitar, and travelling. I have been using my time to write a few research papers, contribute to academic life at ITS, and explore Europe.
If, like me, you have an inclination towards music you must visit this AMS website which gives a lot information about the interplay between mathematics and music. It comes as no surprise that many mathematicians are in fact accomplished musicians too!
