I have a black belt in Karate and I have been playing the sitar since I was a preteen. I like practicing Yoga, travelling, hiking, listening to music, exercising, and reading. I also enjoy astronomy as an amateur enthusiast. I like learning about the night sky and the universe, partly for the science and partly for the sense of wonder it brings.

If, like me, you have an inclination towards music you must visit this AMS website, which gives a lot information about the interplay between mathematics and music. It comes as no surprise that many mathematicians are in fact accomplished musicians too!

In 2025, I acted in the movie “Katti,” which means “unfriend” in Hindi. The movie was screened at the Cannes Film Festival and won the 2026 Gold House Cultural Impact Award!
